Replace your thermostat with this insert Thermostat Replacement Insert

CRITICAL for cooling your Chevrolet LS series engine. We do not
ever recommend running a thermostat in your aeromotive application. However, removing it altogether causes the water pump to bypass itself so that not all of the engine coolant will pass through the engine to the radiator.  The answer is our Thermostat Replacement Insert, which holds the bypass open and allows coolant flow.  Use the rubber seal that comes on the thermostat as shown on the left.
