Fascinated by the sound of the engine, everywhere we go people want to see what's inside the cowl!
This engine and drive combination puts out 405 hp with 460 ft lbs of torque at the prop at 4000 RPM, so the sound is impressive!
Mr. Warren spent 10 years in development and testing of his PSRU so that he could use a Chevrolet engine in his Wheeler Express aircraft.
On our way to Oshkosh, at 5500 feet elevation, with 3200 RPM on the engine and 2100 RPM on the prop, 19 inches manifold, we were cruising 166 knots, with a slight headwind.
We flew our Wheeler Express test aircraft from Conroe, Texas (30 miles North of Houston) to Oshkosh AirVenture.
The size and magnitude of the AirVenture was impressive!
Mr. Warren arrived late due to an illness in the family, and because the automotive conversion row was full, the ground crew parked him closeby.

Several thousand homebuilders stopped by our booth and got a full discription of how our geared PSRU works and why it is the best drive on the market for automotive conversions.
Mr. Warren, an A & P Mechanic, has felt this way a couple of times!
