     The Geared Drives 200Z Sero Offset PSRU for Subaru was developed as a retrofit gearbox for Eggenfellner Subaru, 4 and 6 cylinder engines.  This redrive has all of the same features of our original BW-350 PSRU, including the centrifugal clutch and flywheel assembly.  With this new redrive, Subaru engine owners no longer have to tolerate the torsional vibrations that many have commented as "normal".  Smooth and quiet of operation, the double reduction gearbox allows for many different gear ratio choices and gear ratios can be changed without removing the unit from the engine. 

     When run through a gearbox, torque to the prop is multiplied, so performance will be superior to that which you are used to, especially if you choose to use a hydraulic constant speed prop!  This PSRU has a built in drive port for your hydraulic prop governor, or use any other prop you wish. This case is constructed of CNC machined billet aluminum and the internals are constructed of the same quality materials that we use for our higher HP units.   Below are photos and some cad cam drawings of the gearbox.  This unit bolts onto Eggenfellner engine packages with minimal changes and allows your starter to remain in its current location (under most circumstances) without any modifications.

Click here to see the 200Z Geared Drives Zero Offset Gearbox being test run on Frankenstein, our test mule. We are running it with a 72" Hartzell two blade hydraulic prop on a 350 Chevrolet engine under full load at full pitch.  After 8 hours running non-stop, you can wrap your hand around the oil filter and it is barely more than body temperature to the touch.	The gearbox bolts on via an adapter plate. Your starter remains in its current location under most circumstances.  Gearbox can be used with our without the Eggenfellner front engine mounting plate. (Front engine mounting plate not included, shown below for clarity)
